P2 card full?!?

i know this has been asked a thousand times and i actually read about it before I had a P2 card. Trust me i tried searching through the forums to find my answer, but to no avail. Why is my P2 card (4gb) saying i have only 1 mins left, but when i playback says card is only 58% full. I tried formatting it with camera and p2 viewer, but i still only get about 4-5 minutes instead of 10.
 
Can you be more specific as to what format you are recording? If you are shooting 1080 you will only get 4 minutes per card. Also try using the camera to format.
 
Is your frame rate set to default or 24? Or is it set to 60? If it's set to 60, this is exactly the behavior you could expect.
 
thanks barry for clearing that up, so shooting at 24 frames would give me a full 10 mins? u know what i should just buy your book eh. i think i might do that very soon.
