HPX250: P2 card formated in HPX-170 and recorded on in HPX-250

Does anyone know if there any issues with a P2 card formatted in an HPX-170 and then recorded on in an HPX-250?
Thanks in advance....

Thanks Barry.
I don't have the cards in here with me but the producer said that (of 3 cards) that the 2 cards that were formatted in the 250 were a different codec than the 1 card formatted in the 170 and he couldn't get it to play....and one clip didn't appear to have any media.
As a follow-up question...If the cards are a different codec, how would I deal with that downloading the clips?
Thanks again in advance.

The HPX250 can *record* a different codec than the HPX170 can. But as far as just formatting, they will format the same.

Thanks again Barry....it's a mystery then why they would show different codecs when they were recorded in the same camera.

If they were recorded in an HPX170, they will all be DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50, or DVCPRO-HD. Those are the only codecs the HPX170 supports.

If they were recorded in an HPX250, they could be any of the above, but they could also be AVC-Intra50 or AVC-Intra100. The HPX250 supports more codecs than the HPX170 does.

But if they were recorded right next to each other in the 250 can you think of any reason they would be different from each other?
