P2 Card Format- "Best" Method?

Just curious what the benefit is to formatting your P2 card with software as opposed to formatting the card in camera? I assume there is no difference?

i format my cards upon re-inserting into camera. been doing it for over two years without a single issue...

The ability to name the card. At least in Windows, anyway; Mac, too, if the utility allows for it.

I use P2Formatter for Mac. You can easily rename your p2 through the software.
