P2 and Windows 7

I have a Dell M6400 and it has been running Windows XP (32 bit) but I really need to move up to Windows 7 to take advantage of more RAM. Can anyone shed light on if the Panasonic P2 software will work with Windows 7 (64 bit)? Specifically there are four parts:
1. P2 Card Drivers (with the P2 Card Manager)
2. P2 Viewer (permits viewing P2 content)
3. P2 Contents Management System
4. AVC-Intra driver (Necessary to view AVC-Intra 100)

Obviously the Panasonic online information states that all of this will NOT work with Windows 2000 (fine) or Vista (ouch). So any experience out there on Windows 7?

My R series Card works fine, but I have to boot the computer with the E series card in order for it to be recognized. Every time I switch e-series cards i have to reboot.

any luck in a fix for this? I have the most up to date drivers, and still have this problem. Did not exist in vista. this occured since win7 pro was installed

I just hope they update P2CMS soon to be used under windows 7 64bit, I like its interface a lot more than P2 viewer and finds it much easier of use.

I had a bit of an issue getting the P2 viewer to work.
I have a brand new build with Win7 64 and the drivers installed fine, and the viewer installed fine, but virtual cards would not play.
If I opened the P2 viewer I could play the files directly from the card, but I could not get virtual cards to play - when I told the viewer where the cards were, they would show thumbnails of the files, but the play button was grayed out. (yes the lastclip.txt files were present)
I spent some time trying to find a solution until I saw a post where someone had a similar issue. The guy said to right click on the desktop icon and choose properties, then under compatibility check the box for the program to run under XP service pack 3 save and restart the viewer.
I did all this and nothing changed, so I unchecked the check box to run the program in compatibility mode, clicked 'apply' and closed out. Then all of a sudden, the P2 viewer works! voila!
I have no idea why or how or what or anything else, but hey, it now works.
I mention this as I have heard sparse other people having similar odd issues.

As far as P2CMS...

I got used to using it under XP (never bought Vista) so now I miss it. What are others out there using in its place for Win 7 64?
