P2 and macbook pro....

They can be bought from melrose mac in the san fernando valley or Los Angeles or some other local places where you do not need to wait,
I have two dual adaptors and two 17 inch mac pros to speed down loads of p 2 info since I use 4 cards on location .
I always down load to at least two different drives and the dual adaptor DOES WORK .

I have a dual adaptor/MBP and have an issue with the Dual staying seated in the Expansion slot. Is this the case with yours? IE, do you have to physically hold the Dual in the expansion slot? OR, if you push it in a bit more, will it lock into place? :) Sorry about the goofy question...but I have been using my G4 power book for transfer just because of this issue (Instead of my newer MBP). I haven't tried pushing the adaptor in too hard yet....but with the pressure I have put on it, it will not "lock" in to place.

BTW, I bought it used on ebay. Looks like it's in perfect condition and it works if I hold it in:)

yes you have to push it in until it clicks and to remove you have to push it in again.

The duel works but is a bit finnicky:

I have to reboot in order to have it recognized a second time ( duel suggested I leave it in the slot and only remove the P2 card)
also closing the lid with the duel inserted, sort of kills the system and I have to reboot because the macbookpro wont wake up from sleep and stay in black monitor mode:(

So yes the duel works fresh after reboot, I can unload the P2 cards, then (according to duel) I am supposed to leave the duel inside the slot ( and not close/put to sleep the macbook).
