Why is it that P2 A series 32GB cards are off production ? Why only E series cards are availble now ??? :kali: Panasonic

I'm guessing its simple economics really, when you have two cards of the same capacity and one is virtually half the price guess which one sells more.
I know that the "A" series of cards use SLC chips and the "E" use MLC. So the "A" have approx 100,000 operations per cell against 10,000 ish for MLC.
From what i remember (and it was posted somewhere on this board), if i was to completely fill my 64gig "E" card every day, the card would be good for at least 5 years continous use.
Its exactly the same with the SSD hard drive market for the PC, as the technology improves the cheaper nand memory and wear levelling algoriths get better.
Panasonic needs to make a profit in these leaner times so they will go for whatever makes them the best profit i guess.

seem like Ponny is trotting The SONY way. now the p2 card makers are forcing users to buy P2 cards if they suffer the usage of E series of 1825+ uses (as they claim one usage per day till the end of 5th year).
Ponny has always been busy in finding out ways & means to extort money from unsusecting users. they realised that no one is buying the E series jokes they call P2 cards as agaist the A series cards as the memory cards prices are falling so drastically & they cant survive this way. So what better way for Ponny to learn from the elder Brothers at SONY !!! Make P2 such a way that one has to buy the metallic clunk every 5th year or much much ealier ... WOAH what a way to preach tapeless way.
LOVE SNY FOR GIVING A PATH BREAKING EQUIPMENT WHICH THEY DONT HAVE TO BACKTRACK EVER LIKE ponny LOL ponny you need to deicde 1000time then take out such lame horses in market to run against the ever winners called SONY. I am just a technology fan i havent invested any penny on HD technology yet ... seems like sony woud be a safe bet any day in the given senerio ...
