Overtime question

I have a situation coming up this weekend that I'm not entirely sure how to deal with. I have an event shoot on Saturday that is scheduled to last for 10 hours from call time to wrap and it would normally only take me 20 minutes to get to the location. I also generally don't count travel time when I'm billing if it's less than 30 minutes. However, it's formula 1 weekend in Austin and from what I've been hearing, my drive could be an hour-hour and a half longer than what it would normally be. The producer I'm working for is a bit of a penny pincher and I don't think is generally very aware of what industry standards are, so I'm trying to figure out what the most tactful way to ask him to pay for my travel time is and what exactly I should ask for. Should I just ask for a flat fee? time and a half for everything over 10 hours even if it's just drive time? or just my day rate/10?

Are you crewing on a larger production as freelance, or is this a personal client and your project?

I'm crewing as freelance. It's a wedding, I'm the second shooter, the 1st shooter is the producer/owner of the production company.

I'm inclined to view travelling time, if I've already quoted to be fixed - if they ask how much, you tell them, they say yes. If it then takes double, it's hard luck, in the same way as sometimes you get there early. If the travelling time was agreed by actual minutes/hours, then extend it.
