I would start with the camera on a lightweight tripod angled properly at the bottom of the well.

Tie a line (actually several - to keep the rig from spinning) to the camera/tripod so that when you pull it up, the camera hangs pointing straight down.

Shoot while pulling the camera up and out. Then reverse the footage in post.
