Overcrank Question

I'm going to get the camera tomorrow! I would like to ask you guys who already have it one simple question:

How do you change the speed of motion in a overcrank clip? For example, I've got this beautiful girl walking in at normal speed, and then I want the shot to immediatly change to Slow motion (but smooth overcranked). How do I do this? Shoot 60p, then what?

Thanks in advance

Sergio

You've got to do it in post. You can't change the frame rate while recording. Happy shooting...

But it is duable, right? :)

Thanks prodigy. i'll post my impressions, as well as a small comparison between the PAL and NTSC versions, when I get back. Dont expect a quick response, tough! I'll be filming with it ALL DAY, baby! :)

It is doable. You can smoothly ramp from 60fps (real time) down to 20fps (3 times slower) in FCP in the same shot.

What I did in 'Putting my Coat on' was slice the clip into bits (using the razor blade tool), selecting some of the bits and changing their speed (Command J) - that changes the speed of the slice.

If you will ramp slower then shoot faster (normal speed) so that there is enough frames to do the ramp.

I'd say your best bet is to shoot 60p and edit with a 60p timeline, then as said before just do a speed ramp in post.
I don't really see the point of shooting native unless space is an issue.
