Over/under cranking

Panasonic has a frame rate converter for FCP, but not one for AVID. Without a converter, is there anyway to use under/over cranked footage from the HVX in AVID? I have P2 cards and just ordered the 3.0 firmware upgrade for my FS100. With either of these, is it possible to do with AVID? I am running the newest version of Media Composer.
I have searched the forum and have not found an answer.

Have you tried shooting over/under crank while in the 720p/24pN mode? When doing this, only the frames are recorded to the P2 card and will play back at 23.976s resulting in slow or fast motion.

The project type would be 720p/23.976 on the Avid.
