Is it just me or is it easier to over expose on the HVX/HPV then it is on the DVX? I've been carefully watching to avoid over exposing but I still get that nasty yellowish over blown spot every now and then.
 
it's a lot easier to overexpose the 170. Easier than. The 200A as well. You're not the only one that's noticed, trust me.
 
When I had the 200A and 170 side by side I was comparing gammas and knees and clips. I found them to be the same on chip charts. I'm used to shooting with an HDX900, so both of the palmcorders are limited in latitude compared to the 900. I really like the DRS circuit in the 900, but it's not very useful in the 170 since it can't be used in 24p.
