Outdoor shoots with food, what gear?

I am pretty well decided in going with the DVX100 for an upcoming project. My only remaining questions are in the ever tempting category of accessories.

Nearly 70% of the shooting will happen out doors and involve food and farm locals. I've been considering a 35mm adapter but most of the shots will be open expansive shots so I don't know if that's a must.

A mattebox is the next temptation but I haven't shot with a matte before so I'm not sure besides the of filters if there's any advantage.

Now to the direct question, what additional gear would you recommend for outdoor landscape and food shooting outdoors.

For outdoor landscapes, two filters I'd recomend are a polarizer and a split ND.
A split ND would be a big help if you were shooting food on a table and had a brighter sky in the background. You could tone down the sky with the split ND and balance it all allot better.

For additional lighting, I would take "Flexfill" type reflectors, a few small "camping" mirrors. -Go to a Dollar store and buy 3"x4" mirrors- these are great for bouncing hard light into dark areas . Does your food need to look like it's right out of the oven--steaming ? Not exactly travel friendly, but you could get one of those handheld clothing steamers, and fashion a bowl shaped, plate sized dome over the plate...steam for 5-7 seconds..way- la..
You can cut a hole in the bottom of a large tupperware bowl for this.
I'd also take small wedges to prop up your plates of food, gaffer tape, spring (A clamps) clamps, I'd also tell youi to get a set of "Road Rags" and the mini Grip kit from Matthews www.msegrip.com These are great out in the middle of nowhere, and in an office location.
