out of sync?

This weekend I did a shoot on my 100B with 24pa mode. Usually I import into my own computer, but for this project I have an editor working on the latest version of FCP. He imported the footage, and the audio was out of sync; about 1 second before the video. I've never encountered this problem before with my camera or on my editing system. Does this sound like something to do with the capturing workflow in FCP or is it possible the camera itself is malfunctioning?

I also have this problem sometimes, after capturing my footage in 24p mode, when I import it into FCP, the audio can be 1 second out of sync. I'm slightly mystified by this - does anyone have any advice they can share on this, would be highly grateful !

I don't know any technical reasons behind it, but I find that it tends to happen when there is some sort of glitch or drop-out on the tape, or I start importing too close to the beginning of the tape or to a time-code break.
