Out of focus issue with a GH3 in video

Hi, I'm using a GH3 to video football. I'm using movie manual mode with a 45-175mm lens, Continuous AF. I notice that when I start by pressing the front shutter button, the video it is out of focus and then quickly auto focus's properly ( about 1/2 to 1 sec. or so) I'm at a loss to find out if I'm doing something wrong or if the camera is not working properly. I would expect the focus to be set as I'm not changing distances etc. I start and stop the camera alot during a game to eliminate wasted time between plays.

I had same problem. I figured that when focus switch is in AF-S mode it hunts less when starting video recording. That is stupid because this switchs has otherwise nothing to do with video focusing. Other way is to use video button but it is so diffucult to use that camera shakes when you press it.
