(very) short film made for my Film 222 class (Basic Elements of Video).

I realize it's a very simple, straight forward, linear story, which isn't how I like to approach my ideas, for the most part. However, the reasoning behind this is that the final product had to be 3-4 minutes, which I didn't feel was enough to create an elaborate, non-linear short film. I'm satisfied with the end result, but feel that it doesn't represent the creativity I strive to produce with my films.

I think for being shot on a Canon GL2 it's not a half-bad piece. I sold the GL2 a few weeks ago and am waiting for the XHA1 I purchased (from someone on here) to arrive.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

In my opinion the composition of the lead seemed to impede the story, not help it. I always felt really detached from her like I was forced to be kept away. It felt like the opposite of what you should have been going for.

if you have to tell a story in 4 minutes, delete all that's not needed. For example you don't need to see an etablishing shot of a house for 30 seconds, just directly start with the shot a guy opening the frigde.
