Ouputs on HPX500

Hi,

Im flying an HPX500 on my steadicam for the first time in afew days, and I just wondered what kind of outputs it has? I assume it has a standard SD output via a BNC connection?

What about HD outputs?
 
I know it outputs SD out the side video BNC connection because I used it a few days ago connecting my Carrion monitor. There are also TC in/out, Genlock, and L/R audio out of RCA connectors, and a USB port.

On the back is an SDI out, Audio 1 &2 inputs, Voltage out, DC in, mini jack for Headphone, and a 1394 6 pin connection. It also has an HD component connection but you need the cord that comes with the HVX or HPX to use it (I think it is a serial interface...not sure of exact connector name). There is also a remote control connection as well.

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the camera after you shoot. Good luck!
 
i fly my hpx500 on the flyer. video and power work perfectly. i don't know which steadi you have but if it's the flyer, you will need to remove the evf from the cam and use 2 batteries on the sled for balance.
 
It is a flyer, but ive flown the HPX before.

We are using it with an adapter so it will weigh abit more than stock, but ive flown a full RedOne on my flyer, so an HPX should be ok.
 
you will need additional weight on the bottom of your sled if you are adding more weight to the hpx. i have 2 endura 80s batteries and the standard lcd on my flyer and with the naked hpx with evf removed, the gimbal is close to the top of the post. i dunno, maybe you have heavier batteries that i do or a heavier monitor. otherwise it likely won't balance with additional weight added to the camera.

I have my hpx in 720p/24pn record format, and am looking at the output of the "video out" connector on the right side.

I am getting a squeezed verson of the SD 16x9, and I want a SD 16x9.

What's up? I get the 16x9 out of our hvx200's.

You have to go into the menu and change it under the display options.
