Other than Kipon or Redrock Live lens, what else is there currently for EOS lenses?

Other than Kipon and the new RedRock Live Lens, is there another EOS Canon lens to M4/3 adapter currently in the market? I own both of them, the Kipon is what it is. The Live Lens died on us on the third day of shooting. We seem to have got a faulty unit both electronically and mechanically. I am in the midst of long, arduous and very fast pace production and I need a solution while we wait for RedRock repaired or exchanged unit. Thanks

I had a problem with my REDrock cable and I had a replacement in 2 days.

There are other adapters but not with any Iris control. I have one of them and it works OK but you have to set the Iris in an EOS cam like the 5DmkII. Not a bad spare to have I suppose in case of REDrock problems. But so far my LiveLens works like a champ. And as I said my replacement from REDrock was very prompt, probably as fast as getting another adapter.

Thanks Olof, do you have any mechanical issues with your LiveLens?
Our unit would not lock the lens in place. It would click in position but it would not lock. In two occasions during the first two days of shooting, the lens felt off while trying to adjust the focal length in our L zooms. The adapter was not locking any of my six Canon lenses. In fact, I would have to rotate back just a millamiter from click on position so the adapter could talk to the lens and be able to change aperture. We ended up taping the zoom lenses to the adapter while keeping full connection. Not ideal when you are moving from location to location very quickly. Otherwise and while the LiveLens was electronically working, it is about the only adapter I need to happily use my L glass with the AF100.

My problem was with the power cable and battery box.

Other then that my unit works very well and locks into place. I use 6 different Canon EF lenses some primes and some L zooms.

I definitely recommend using rails with lens support for heavier L's like the 70-200 f2.8 L IS. Or damage can result to the Camera or adapter.

Hey Chervas,

Really sorry to hear about that, I can only imagine the aggravation mid production. I'm building a compatible lens list here out in LA so I've used multiple different adapters on multiple different lenses and haven't run into a non-locking unit. You've already contacted support correct?

Yes I did and they quickly responded with an RMA. I shipped the adapter immediately after receiving the RMA

We tried the adapter with 24mm, 100mm Macro, 17-40mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm all Canon L , and two Tokina, a 11-16mm and a prime. None of them locked. All of them needed to be back screwed just a tad to talk to the adapter and them taped so they would not fall off. The adapter was able to change the aperture in all of the lenses.
