OTG in the field

Does the 150 need to be hooked up to AC in order to use it with an OTG device?

I was at an event today, got asked by local station for my media scrum footage (they were late). It was 1.3GB on the card, too big to upload as is.. so i had to transcode it to their usual format.. time.. and still have to upload it.. not efficient at all.

So I got to thinking if there's a way I can access file WHILE in playback mode.. just so you could visually see and copy things. If not, then an OTG with SDHC and file selectability would do the job as well.

Anyone see a native SDHC to SDHC (plus HDD) OTG device? I don't mind handing out an SD card now & then, a $15 card is cheaper than my time it takes to encode and upload.

Can an iPhone do this? Hook up a hub to the phone, and OTG app? I've really never delved into anything Apple in many, many years.

I'm not an expert and never done it, but I believe if you hold the standby mode button down(bottom left rear of camera) it will go into pc mode and then it would transfer the files thru the usb 2.0 output to either a usb otg drive or to a computer.
