OT: Warning Switronix PT XLR 28"

I ordered this cable from B&H to connect my Panasonic $2k+ monitor and it blew up some fuse inside.
Thank G od the F3 just din't just start when I plugged the same cable to it.
Today I opened the P Tap connector and switch the cable ends and the F3 turns on with it. It had the poles reversed.
Now I have to figure out how to get the monitor working with the power supply again. It only works with the AB Battery now.

I had a bad one on location last week. Everytime we plugged into the p-tap on the A/B battery adapter everything went dead.

Here is the contact page for Switronix. Call them to let them know there is a high probability that either a batch or all of these cables have the polarity reversed. This is SERIOUS. If you have one of these cables do not use it until you have confirmed correct polarity.

Almost everything and its mother has reverse polarity protection these days, hence the f3 not even turning on. Surprised the Panasonic didn't. (well, that's a lie, not surprised at all :cheesy: )

The F3 and Ki Pro both shut down when we used that lead - we swapped it out for another switronix and this one works fine. You'd think they would have better QC.

Same here, but it messed my monitor up. PT-XF3 works fine. The one I had the problem was the 28" that I got to power the monitor.
Which one did you have a problem with? and, Did you let Swittrinix know?

28". did not. bought it at zacuto (i'm in Chicago) and had a PA run it back for an exchange. I'll let Switronix know tomorrow.
