Ot - jvc gy-hm700

i know this is off topic, but i was running teleprompter on a set last week and the (newbie) shooter was using a jvc hm700.

he asked me to help him set up the camera. and i must say that i was reasonably impressed with the ergonomics of the camera. and apparently it shoots FCP ready footage straight to SD cards.

i didnt get a chance to see nor work with the actual footage. so i have no idea where the rubber meets the road here...

any of you guys dealt with this camera?

I looked at one last yr. The images are very nice and edit beautifully in FCP. My only issue was with it's lowlight performance. The footage was very grainy( I can't remember the actual gain settings) I immediately eliminated it off my wish list.....since I needed a camera for live club recordings.
