i know this is an oddball question, but does anyone know the original msrp of the hmc150 when it first debuted in stores? such as b&h photo? thnx

Lindquist, these are "Manufacturers Suggested Retail Prices".... not the sell price.
 
I bought the 150 within a month of it's release and I bought it from B and H for 3399... and it's kept pretty much about the same price for a year and a half... and I think when I sell it, I'll probably get a similar price to what I got for my HVX.. but that little bugger cost me 5600 when I bought it and I had to buy the completely crazy p2 cards. I rocked 2x4 gig cards and p2store for such a long time.. I don't think I could ever fathom shooting for 8 minutes and having too ofload it in 6 minutes with a lovely 2 minute bit of headroom.. I loved the HVX.. but the 150 looks better by far.... and I didn't see any reason to get the 170...


My ideal would be a 150 style body with an intercchangable lens port so you could put on whatever flavor of glass... ahhh, that would be something. Ohh and make it 3k for 3k and I"m all there!
I seem to remember Red promising that....

I'm on the verge of selling my HMC-150 as my documentary is almost done so no more pickups will be needed. Do you have any suggestions about where I might look to sell? I realize there's a market on dvxuser and there's eBay, but I wasn't sure if there are any other places I'm not aware of.

And for the OP, I got my HMC-150 from Full Compass for $3288.00 in mid-November 2008.

I have sold and bought many items on craigslist.
 
I think that you should try all options. DVXuser is a great place to start first.. since people know what it is you are selling and lots of good people on here... I'd say too try here first.

Then go too Ebay and craigslist. Just realize that there are scammers on both sites.. so be cautious and do not take any western union payments and I wouldn't take an international check, etc.. and just make sure you have all of your money before sending... and also when you sell it specify how long they have to pay. Some people on Ebay can take a week too get you even the paypal payment...
