Original Matrox MXO - ideal for color correction on a laptop - $300
Unlike MXO2 the original Matrox does not require an expresscard slot and is only an output device.
It takes your DVI output and produces a true video out with blue gun controls for your DVI secondary monitor that emulates a color critical monitor. Also provides HDSDI out and SD composite or YC so you can also use an old SD monitor that has good color.
I loved this box, but Apple dropped my laptop and is replacing it with a Thunderbolt laptop with Mountain Lion.
So Far MXO only works up to Lion and FCP7.03. Don't know if they will continue to support it through Mountain Lion and FCPX.
I believe it also has PC support now but I don't know anything about that.
Works fine - drivers and manual included
