I've used this 'Original Media Cage' by Mark Watkins for a few events and it comes in handy when you need to mount a video light, Zoom recorder, microphone, or a host of other devices. Between the two cold shoes and multiple threaded holes, the cage is very accommodating and can be setup however you'd like. I've mounted a QR plate to the bottom and used it to go from tripod to run & gun shooting in seconds.
