Original 60p clip now stuck at 24p. Need advice

So I'm editing a vacation video from Alaska. I shot in 720/60p on the HMC150, and all of my clips were imported in this format. I was fiddling around conforming 60p footage to 24 to try and get some good slow motion. I used cinema tools thinking it would work (I don't have much experience in this category) but it seemed to work.

Now, I had to move all of my footage onto a new external, and when I reconnected it read the original file as 24p now. Is there anyway to import this again as 60p and have it be in its true quality or am I just stuck with the 24p stretched to 60? If I am stuck, any advice on how to smooth it out so it looks a little nicer? It's a pretty important clip I would say, so I don't want to give up just yet.

Any advice would be great! Thanks

A lot of what you do in Cinema Tools is destructive, meaning that it over-writes the original file. That's why it's always a good idea to keep a backup copy of the source footage before you start making changes. Conforming frame rates, however, doesn't add or delete any frames... it just changes their playback speed by altering the metadata that contains the frame rate information.

Since you only conformed the frame rate for slow-mo, you should be able to go back into Cinema Tools and reverse the process by conforming it to 60p.
