I changed my system a while ago, and have flying P2 clips all over. I would prefer to have them with original filname as DVCPro HD. Then I could sort them easy. I downloaded P2 Contents Organizer from Panasonic for Mac and when the search finds some clips, it shows them in the viewer window. But when I click "ingest" it creates a folder with all the subfolders in plus the actual video as a mxf file. I don't need that, just a clip, which I easily can view with Quicktime. I have a fast Mac and a slow Windows. Final storage will be on the Mac. On the Mac I have Final Cut, on the PC, I have Edius 4.5 installed.
I started to ingest the clips into FCP, put them on the Timeline and export them.... but this is a quite slow process, considering the quantity of clips I have.
I am sure, there is a faster way.
