Throughout all of the project's ive done, while editing on my 3 different computers, I find that sometimes my organization methods don't work well. Ive never read any methods on keeping digital editing files organized, but from experience I have somewhat of a system going:
+Drive1/projects/project_name/
-/final cut pro files
-/images
-/exports
-/clips
-/dvd
-/documents
store my captures on another drive:
Drive2/projects/captures
/project_name
I mostly make short films, does anyone have advice on how I should organize or if you know of any books that explain some effective ways to organize short film digital files. Or maybe if someone could just post how they organize their project files that would be great.
