Ordering from DigitalRev to Germany?

Has anyone done it?

DigitalRev claim no extra fees will be added.

Just afraid aid there will be some damn bureaucracy adding VAT or something anyway. Or it getting stuck in customs or whatever.

Anyone had had good or bad experience?

I'm in the UK and I ordered my A7s from DigitalRev (and have bought other stuff from them before). So far no bad experiences. VAT/import tax is paid upfront by them.

Thanks.
Just a bit worried that it's because of the old bonds between the UK and Hong Kong.
But they insured there would be no additional costs so maybe I should trust them ;)

Those bonds are definitely over in any official/governmental realm. Anyway even when it was a colony, Hong Kong was still a tax-free port.

Prices in germany and over at digitalrev are pretty much the same, but you'll loose
the european 2y warranty...
Cheapest is not always best.

If it is an import, you´ll pay taxes (around 4%) and VAT (19%). And you either spend half a day at the Berlin Zollamt or pay another 30€ for handling customs by DHL/UPS/whoever.

This is not true, as far as I know.

DigitalRev shows their prizes according to the country and their VAT/import taxes.
They pay it...
That's why prizes are not much cheaper than in europe anyways.
