B Camera was a 550D

The M3 is pure sex.

Nice! Good luck with it! You're the first one that I've heard that is getting one. I really want to see what this thing can do, be shure to give us a super detailed report with lots and lots of footage, please =P

The thing is that this is probably the last adapter that ever hits the market. So it is like "this is the best the 35mm adaptors could do". I'm really eager to see if the M3 deals with the visible grain and and flicker once and for all.

OutlawsDelejos Looking forward to your first impressions and also if there time in delivery is respected !! MAHALO !!

Not too sure how the time frame on delivery will be, I had to order everything through B&H because international postage from Redrock direct is just way, way too much.
Plus for some reason it's cheaper through B&H too, after item cost, shipping and tarrifs I save like $400 this way. Currently my order still reads "waiting for stock", so we'll see.
But I'm pumped to get and shoot some footage with it.

I also ordered the M3 to pair with my Panasonic HPX-170. I shot a feature doc with the M2e last year and although my stuff looks really good, it was a real pain. I had to clean the glass constantly and there were other problems with the lens attachment and the focus pull that made getting smooth shots extremely difficult. The M3 looks to be much better, hopefully.

M3 IS better! Up and running 10min after opening box. One simple connection to my HPX-170. I lit a small set and turned it on with a nikon 85mm on the front. 1/2 stop light loss MAX! Beautiful picture. Can barely hear the unit working. Great. I will try to post some video next week as I am working on another project at this time. I like it!

Can't wait to see some footage! Hurry will ya!

I don't think that the M3 has 1/4 light loss as stated, they said that the M2 unit had max 2 stops but it was more like 3-4 stops... so this one probably has at least 1/2 stop like you said... but nevermind, let's see what it can do!!

I got an email today, B&H won't have the unit until the 22nd of February. Then they still have to send it, meaning it'll be over 2 months from when I placed the order till when I see the M3.

I'm really pissed at Redrock for this, it's completely butchered my schedule.

lol who dosen't? As I said before, this adapter is probably the last one to come out and the best one i suppose. If ever I get more jobs where an adapter can be used, I'll get an M3 and sell my SGblade.
