Ordered Redrock M2

Ok so I finally took the plunge and ordered M2. After months on the forum reading about everything from LetusFL to SGpro to the ever illusive cinemak G35 I finally decided to go with M2.

To be honest LetusFL looked a much simpler and straight forward (and cheaper!) option but then I read statements liKe

"I want to upgrade to M2 so I am selling my Letus"

and somehow leaned towards M2. I am not sure what I am getting into but now there is no turning back.

I know there are people in the market place who are selling m2' but i did'nt see a great deal of difference in the price from the original so anyways.

Now comes the long wait. Any idea what is the current wait time for the M2?

I also have to start looking at getting my lens collection going. Right now i have a few 28mm and 50mm that should suffice for now.

Also, is there a separate area in the M2 forum for customers where they deal more closely with the setup issues etc?

I am hoping that I get it soon enough to try and use it for the Dramafest entry.

Of course I am hoping that this wonderful community will help me face what ever is coming down the pike.

Awesome! I plan to order mine on monday. I'm sorting out our quickbooks and purchase order system this weekend. From what I was told by Brenda @ M2, they are about 2-3 weeks out right now. :)

Cool. so that will give me about a month to play with it before I get into serious shooting in early Jan. do you know anything about accessing the support Forum?

Also if you get your order in my Monday we could sort of follow each others progress as we would get it about the same time. Its one thing to follow all the forum threads and another thing to experience it wih a fellow DVXers !!

Cheers,

Krish you have made a great dicision. I have owned the M2 from the day it was possible to place an order and never regretted it.

I would advise you buy the 72mm HD achromat though. Certainly worth the extra outlay, as it gives a better image than the standard 55mm version.

Have fun with it!

Thanks Steve, I ordered the SD version as I own a DVX100b. Can i still use the HD achromat with DVX100b. Does it improve the image?

If it does then i would definitely consider it.
