GH3 Ordered my GH3. Any suggestions for a budget lens?

i like the tamron 17-50mm 2.8 for my GH2... 250$ on ebay

Would the Minolta Rokkor 50mm 1.4 MD be much different than my Canon fd 50mm 1.8?

I had the canon on my Gh1 and it was very good however I do not remember it being as good as the minolta in low light but was better in sunlight.

Well the 1.4 should be better in low light that then 1.8 as you are getting another HALF stop out of it, unless Canon and Minolta measure f stops differently which shouldn't be the case as the f stop is just the focal length divided by the diamater of the aperture. But someone else might have some sort of deeper insight as to how theses manufacturers differ when it comes to measuring the aperture diamater.

That should read a little over a half stop. A full stop would be 2 to 1.4.
