hi everyone, Ive been a long time reader on this site and there is truly some very useful info on here. Ive previously been shooting with GL2s to shoot snowboarding/skateboarding. Im a Pro Snowboarder up here in Canada and have made a couple vids to date. This season is going to be a big one for me and Ive wanted to step up to better equipment for a little while now. Most professional snowboard vids are shot on 16mm with some digital in the mix. (HD is starting to come into play too) With the wonders of 24p being more vastly available filmers are looking at the less expensive alternative. Likewise Im doing the same. I just ordered up a new DVX100b and am awaiting is arrival to the store. A friend, and filmer, has also just picked up a new DVX100b for himself so we have two in our arsenal. He previously just got a VX-2000 but after a discussion we had about the pannys he sold it and bought the DVX. He just showed up with it one day and was like "so I got a DVX" it was so random. Im super excited to get my cam cause I just want to start playing and experimenting. I wanna pick up Barry's book/DVD too soon.
Anyway thanks everyone
