The story of the night at work:

LOS ANGELES -- A man has pleaded guilty to smuggling songbirds into Los Angeles from Vietnam by hiding them under his pants.

Prosecutors say 46-year-old Sony Dong entered his plea Tuesday to one count of illegally importing wildlife.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. Dong had originally pleaded not guilty in May. He was arrested in March at Los Angeles International Airport.

Authorities found 14 birds he wrapped in cloth and strapped to his legs and ankles when he arrived on a flight from Vietnam. Another suspect, 34-year-old Duc Le, has pleaded not guilty to smuggling charges. He is expected to stand trial Oct. 27.

Le was arrested after investigators found 51 songbirds at his California home.

Does he knock them out with some sort of drug before he goes to the airport? Or how does he keep them quiet?!

Considering all of the problems associated with invasive species, glad they were caught.

Especially ones without entry visas!

But you don't hear about the behind the scenes story: How Homeland Security rounded up those birds, put tiny wing cuffs on them, and stuck them all in a big birdcage, awaiting deportation hearings.

The judge is afraid they will fly the coop. Ba-ba-booom.

Canary qualudes of course, do I have to explain everything? First the proper use of Duck Tape, now the proper med to give to songbirds.

I just want to know how he managed to get on the plane with 14 birds in his pants and not have anyone notice.

"Ummm... sir... is something in you pants chirping?"

Do you question a man named Sony Dong about anything relating to his to his pants?

Well clearly someone did notice or else he wouldntve been busted. They say they found more at his apartment, which means hes done this successfully before, which is all sorts of odd.

It's even more hilarious that the dude's last name is Dong. Any relation to Long Duc Dong?

What I would be afraid of is one of these birds getting loose under my pants and attacking my crotch. Gives the term "pecker" a whole new meaning.

"Ummm... sir... is something in you pants chirping?"

"No, that's just my cell phone."

Oh the innuendo this man has given us!
