I haven't figured out how to empirically determine is there is a relation between shutter speed and the dreaded rolling shutter "jello" effect. I'm reluctant to just do walking tests- I'd rather devise a repeatable motion test.
If my D90 is set to Shutter-Priority mode prior to entering Live View, and then I hit AE-Lock, theoretically I'd think that the shutter speed would be locked, and the sensitivity and/or aperture would be used to compensate for exposure variations.
If that's true, then it would be theoretically possible to test various shutter speeds, with 1/25th of a second being the maximum shutter speed, and anything below 1/250th of a second straying into "stroboscopic" territory.
Does anyone have a gut feeling on the best shutter speed for minimizing jello?
