Hi,
Can someone tell me what the absolute best settings are for shooting 30p with cine gamma?
I have shot with the 24pa scene file settings, just changing the 24p setting to 30p. All other settings in the scene file remain unchanged.
The result is pretty film-like in appearance, but my video is very dark when I capture it into Final Cut. To get a decent gamma output, I cook my movies in Cleaner 6 and boost the gamma. I know this isn't right, but what is?
Also, the image I get in my LCD viewfinder in the field looks spectacular: good exposure, contrast, saturation, etc. It seems that I just can't trust it to translate into the same back in the edit suite.
I'd really appreciate any help.
Incidentally, the projects I'm producing are intended for Web distribution, hence my preference to shoot in 30p. I love the image I see in my viewfinder and would like to have that quality as my final output from Final Cut, without having to do a bunch of post-processing.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
