We just purchased 2 HMC-150's. Love the footage we are getting nice and clean. We are coming from DVX-a & b so it was a simple transition, except for one thing. It seems as though the OIS (Optical Image Stablizer) is much more sensitive on the HMC-150 than on the DVX's. If you are on a tripod with the HMC-150 make sure you turn off OIS. We didn't do that and we saw slight jumping every now and then especially when panning, and I mean very slight, but none the less it is there. You definitely could see it happening in the viewfinder.
It is on our original footage and yes we viewed the footage directly from the card though the HMC-150 itself. So, just wanted to let others know. Maybe we are the only ones who didn't know this. After 4 years of using our trusty DVX's and never having that issue before, the idea of shutting OIS off never really occured to us. Boy, do we feel silly! But even with that issue which we are now aware of, we love these cameras! Can't get over the picture we are getting...too kool!
