Optical filter to fight the moire/aliasing issues?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone here has experimented with filters to reduce the moire / aliasing problems with these VDSLR cameras. I'm about to get a T2i.

In this artcle is a T2i vs EX-1 comparison video:

Obviously there are some situations where the moire/aliasing will be unavoidable (I'm staying away from striped shirts).

Has anyone tested any optical filters that will reduce this effect?
My assumption is that the filter would have to blur the image enough vertically before it hits the sensor so that it effectively closes the gaps between the skipped lines that are read on the T2i when it's shooting video.

Essentially, I believe that I'm looking for a filter that serves the same function as an Optical Low Pass Filter that's before the sensor on all digital cameras. I'm only concerned with the vertical direction though, since that's the only axis where lines are being skipped.

Any feedback and experiences would be great.

Thanks,
-J
