I've started to try and get into the habit of turning the camera on before I take off the cap in case it asks to perform APR. Got frustrating taking it off and having to put it back on.

I wonder if that's like doing a black balance? I had a dead pixel in my FS700 and someone told me to do a black balance as it fixes dead pixels. I did it, and the dead pixel was gone. Now I do a black balance at the start of any important shoot.

I assumed it was the same as a black balance on C300. C300 manual pretty much says to do a black balance every time you turn on the camera which I have forgotten before and got terrible noise at lower ISOs.
