Seems like this portion of the site has transformed into a flea-market about DVX's... all I ever see is "where do I buy it", "how much should I pay for...", "what's the cheapest"... etc... Not griping, everyone wants one, but man...

Yeah, it makes for a lot of clutter on the boards.

I think it's just because this forum (News) is at the top of the page and all the newbies don't take time to read all the different forum headings (i.e. "Marketplace").

They just click on the first available link and start asking for prices.

Followed by "What kind of tripod should I buy?", "Why does my audio suck?", etc.

One thing is for sure... it is NOT News.

A notice could be pinned here, and all the concerned threads moved to "Marketplace"... but there doesn't seem to be any officially designated moderator for this section... ::)

"Yeah there's a place in Africa that will sell you a new DVX for $1000.00, but to find them you have to call the US Embassy there and ask for "Freddy", and tell him you're after the "international special"...

Seems like the same questions about grey market, warranty, where to buy, how much to pay...if we had a FAQ pinned to the top of this forum might solve the problem.

I agree with eyebiter solution.

After 4 months of its launch...new dvx news seems to have really spread around. I think the hype will come down itself.....
