Hi all,
I have 5 x unused halogen lamps available (120v/500w). They came with a Lowel Omni Light kit I bought from the U.S. - useless here in Australia due to voltage difference. Normally, these lamps cost a total of around US$60 + postage, but I'm only interested in covering postage costs from Australia to whoever wants them! The first person to offer postage secures them. The last time I posted a package of similar size and weight to Iowa, U.S. (from Australia) it came to close to US$30. Hopefully, this gives you some idea on approximate cost, and whether or not it's worth your while.
Disclaimer: (isn't there always?) Now, the lamps look perfect; the coils are intact, and I've been SUPER-careful not to touch the glass with my fingers. In short, I've been a wonderful - if reluctant - caretaker of these lamps (think Frodo Baggins). HOWEVER (and I'm capitalising for impact), I cannot be held responsible if any or all of these lamps don't live up to expectations. I hope they all have long, bright futures, but this is something none of us can predict. Anyway, if anyone is interested, do get in touch. If I don't hear anything within a week or two, I'll be donating these lamps to the rubbish bin and will mark this thread as 'Sold'.
Oh, almost forgot. Four of these lamps are 'Ushio' (had good experiences with this brand); the other is 'Sylvania U.S.A.' (no experience with this one).
Many thanks,
James
