Only one P2 Card is being recognized...

Hello fellow HVX users. So I've been having a problem with importing clips into FCP. Here's the setup:

I've got two 4 gig P2 cards. My HVX is hooked up to my Dual 2.0 G5 via Firewire 400. When I mount the camera in VTR mode only one P2 card shows up on the desk top (usually P2 slot # 2). I am able to import those clips, but I have to unmount the p2 card, shut the camera down, take out the card that is in slot 2 and re-mount to get it to recognize the P2 card in slot one. Anyone else have this problem. If I remember correctly one of the first times I imported clips, both P2 cards were recognized on my desk top but not anymore.

Thanks to all! :dankk2:

I have this same problem more times that not using the same system you have. If only one card mounts use Disk Utility to mount the other one.

i find i have a much more stable and easier time importing P2 when i use the USB Device mode instead of the 1394 mode to connect the HVX200 to my Macbook Pro. Maybe try that out. The only thing you have to do to make the USB Device mode work on the Mac is to make sure both of the P2 cards are switched to write protect mode on the cards themselves. thats it.

i have the same problem as well. Should i be happy other people have this problem? Is it a camera problem? computer problem? I successfully used problem in every sentence.
