Only a year and a half later...

I've been messing with Vegas for the first time after seeing this...impressive. But seems difficult to apply the same CC on multiple clips in the timeline.
 
Find the scheme that you want, then in the composite tool, click the chain button. Save the chain 'anyname' or whatever, then you can apply that chain to any other timeline in sync with what you have. Uncheck them one at a time or you can apply them to a particular clip and uncheck the ones that you do not want displayed at that time. It works great with a still image as the image does not move. You could overlap an image and use the opacity to slowly fade the effect in.
