Online Compression for EX footage?

Hey guys, I tried searching but it wasn't working too well for me.

I have been doing a lot of work with my EX-1 with footage that's suppose to go online. I just bumped up to FCP7, and I had a vimeo droplet that compressed it to exactly the size and settings for YouTube and Vimeo (There is a tutorial on Vimeo about it that I can't find now), but when I upgraded my FCP Studio, the droplet stopped working. I have 1080 24P fooatage that I want to be compressed for the site, so if you guys have any links, tips, advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

720p (30 or 24 fps) and I use 6Mbps. Probably a bit high and you can get away with 3-4, but I used to upload 6 in case anyone wanted to download it and watch it without Vimeo's compression. I was always quite pleased.

I used mpeg4 for my codec.

Yup 720 H.264 for sure. I typically go to 8Mbps. I've never done a comparison between 6 & 8 but if it's under the limit then why not?

i always go with this workflow for vimeo distribution..

I shoot in 1080/or 720
always 24fps

my sequence in fcp
1280X720
Square pixel aspect ratio
no field dominance
and fps of 23.98
compressor is Apple ProRes 422 HQ

when im done with my edit, I expot -> then quicktime movie (not quicktime conversion)
then make myself a 1280X720 24p Apple Pro Res 422 HQ master video file.
that usually comes out to about 2gb per 3-4 min of edited footage.
now I go into compressor with that master file,
I use the mpeg-4 settings
i do medium bit rate
24fps
key frame interval every 24 fps
and then I export my mpeg-4 webvideo file
and upload to vimeo, and it looks perfect
