One-take videoclip

Hey guys, I'm doing a one take-video. The band will start out at one location, and move down the street. On the way their support, friends, fans, equipment and fire breathing Space Lions (took a good chunk of the budget getting those) will join in.

What would I need to get a steady shot, going backwards? Is a dolly with a steady cam a good idea? Or is there no such thing? Is it possible to make a steady shot from a driving car? I've been juggling, and am curious to hear your input.

What would you guys suggest?

get some kinda steady cam/merlin/glidecam. there are many out there and many users on the site have share there experience with each. the one unvinersal thing is to practise with it to make it steady and to balance it right.

If u have a cinesaddle u can get smooth shots from a car.

I'm not sure where to rent a cinesaddle in the Netherlands, but I'll look into the steadycam and figure out how it works. Trail and error! Thanks for the tip, jambredz.

Steadicam is a very expensive rig. I would recommend using a car and just using a beanbag to stabilize it.

the merlin is pretty expensive like 800 i think?
but it works wonders
itll be a good investment
