One step closer to the matrix.

it will likely be gaming that makes it feasible economically, to a smaller degree that of the techie, and pushes the envelope in this respect. frankly i am much more interested in the medical aspect, and human/humane aspects; this has great potential to do good, at only the expense of those who waste their time gaming their lives away.

this technology, coupled with new sensory technologies, has the potential in the mid to near future, to render paraplegics capable of physical interactions and feelings they have been utterly devoid of. If correctly and appropriately pursued, this has potential to change what would otherwise be rather bleak lives into hopeful and meaningful lives.

frankly if it comes on the economic backs of the inert gamer, to the benefit of the sensory-deprived, all the more power to it.

The benefits for paraplegics is most encouraging.

Look at Steven Hawking having been able to communicate with the outside world. Imagin just giving someone the chance to create some art in whatever medium they can use that they could never otherwise do. That's huge. It was huge for modern science listening to Steven Hawking finally be able to speak through computer technology , and he can't move a muscle I don't think.

We all take this stuff for granted.

Who cares whether the blind could ever see or not? We can so who cares about them?. Well, you know, we're a bit selfish sometimes in our thoughts aren't we?
But that's because there's nothing we can personally do about it I think.

hehe. But you know what I'm saying. It would be cool for everyone to be able to communicate and create like everyone else.
In the end that seems like a more noble cause than allowing people to play porno without using their hands as controllers, as funny as that is, and it is funny I must admit, haha.

Anyways, you know what I'm talking about. .

Well, it does seem to require a lot of focus to run these things so maybe it'll at least train users to focus their thoughts better.

I was thinking the same thing.

Great tool for sharpening focus skills and for mental relaxation. If this gadget can register that you've "cleared your mind", it might allow people to get rid of their stress/anxiety pills.

Short of all this, you can always pretend you're a Jedi.
