One of these two is mine.

I recently bought one of the two things in this picture.
1) Dodge Nitro SLT
2) Arri Alexa, 30-80 Angenieux Optimo DP zoom, 3-channel preston FIZ,

Considering I didn't win a lottery or have an oil-rich uncle die, I am the proud owner of a Dodge Nitro! This picture was taken two days ago, my first day of owning the car. I left the dealership and had to drive straight to a rental house to prep my next job. Quite frankly, I'd MUCH rather own the Alexa. I tried to return the Nitro to the camera house, but they definitely noticed the swap.

Anyway, if you haven't seen a Dodge Nitro (they seem to be rare, for some weird reason) they are really cool looking cars and are similar to but less girly than a Jeep Liberty or likewise vehicle.

I'm lovin' it.
That's really about it.

Congrats!

Big fan of the Nitro! They're rare around these parts (Central Ohio), but yet they'll haul some gear!!! Congrats.

My wife did not like the Nitro, tho, so we just bought a new Subie Outback.

Thanks guys! So far, it's been a great ride. Gas milage isn't the best, but in my line of work, gas milage is compensated if travel is far, and I need to haul gear, so I'm not going to the office everyday. If I was an office 9-5'er I'd be looking at a car.

I like those nitros, I think it's a badass looking vehicle. Congrats man, Is she quick?
Pretty quick. 210-hp 3.7 liter V6 engine. Not the fastest car I've had, but my last car was a Chevy HHR, which was a 4-banger. I can definitely feel the V6 power since I had been without it.

Perfect for my line of work, which is cinematographer or 1st Camera Assistant.

Cool! That's American-car-land for sure! I grew up in Akron Ohio and my family actually owned a car dealership there for over 50 years. It was a Chevy dealership they since sold. I really wanted a Chevy, but after my HHR (which was a great car) there wasn't anything that really stood out to me. Both my parents have a Trailblazer, but it just didn't seem like a good option for sunny Los Angeles. It does wonders in Ohio winters, but what do I need 4wd for in Santa Monica? I guess if there was a zombie apocalypse.

So does the salt they use in the winter. lol Oh my gosh, I also grew up in Akron till about 16, I can still remember how bad the salt eats the cars away, two , three yr old cars rusted out . Oh, Sorry not trying to Highjack your thread.
