One of the best shorts I've seen with the DVX so far

ottings is definately shot on 35. i read it on the project greenlight site back when season 2 was originally airing. the other one i really loved was the JFK pre-assassination one. shot on super16.

yeah the JFK one was dagan's. Deffinitly the best total package. can wait to see him do a feature.

But again, K and E's was really good too, and fit well with the movie the produceres felt they were trying to make. And appaerently their interview the went amazingly well too.

Yeah, I knew there was no way Otting was digital.

I stand corrected. I thought Otting's was the DVX since the colors and blooming of the whites seem similar to the DVX. I'll check the wayback machine for the project greenlight article on Otting's submission. Thanks for the heads-up.

I just remembered. Some of you guys complained about the shaky camera on the first short. I didn't notice it, but I may have thought this was on purpose so as to simulate the woman being followed. I believe the TV show "24" uses similar techniques and is shot documentary style. Is shaky camera necessarily a bad thing? (if only slightly shaky I mean). I don't beleive the shake was too distracting. Maybe I should watch it again.

As far as the films being a total package, I guess I liked them because they were good genre films, and I rarely see those executed well. The directors seemed to avoid the standard short film cliches and took the sci-fi/horror route instead. I definitely respect that.
