FS7: One more newbie question

With my FS7 on the shoulder and touching my ear, I can constantly hear noises from inside... With other cameras, noises like this were only present with AF on (maybe also zoom servo on) - I have everything in Manual now, and yet they never cease... And no, it's not the fan - is it normal, and what is it coming from?

PS. Oh, and one more thing: does everyone's smart grip Release button require so much initial force to push in - almost as if it's stuck?

Yes, that's normal. You should hear the noise when you have an XDCA attached...

And yes, the grip is stiff.

Yet I don't have XDCA, and this definitely is not a fan noise - for the testing purposes, I set it to OFF when recording, and still could hear noises...

The noise is fascinating indeed, what other moving parts apart from the fan are hidden in the body? (or could it be the lens?)

Exactly. And speaking of the lens - yes, it does add to the noises even when servos are disconnected (manual focus and zoom mode); I discovered that when stabilization is on, the noise from the camera body is louder and more "irregular". But even switching OSS off doesn't eliminate all the noise - some humming can still be heard, which makes me believe it IS the cooling fan, after all. Obviously, in its Auto mode, the fan never stops completely...
