Hello all.

Well I am about 9 days away from my deployment back to the sand box. The last Time I was in here I was asking about what cam to buy for the Docu. I will be makeing wile im out there. The DVX100b was the one to go with, but now I was thinking of 2 new cams.

Should I go with the Cannon HX A1 for HD in 24p.... OR.... get a Mac Book pro, and a HV 20... Id still get 24p HD.

As it is now I have no cam, Butr I have a 12" G4 power book. I got in the last time I went out. I have FCP and all that stuff. But dont know if it can handel HD.

Have a safe trip, and return dude.

I'd agree about the hv20. small, 24p, etc. HDV is fairly demanding on comp's though. I would bet that you will have a bit of a time editing it, but I don't know that for sure.

If you were thinking of getting an A1, might as well get the hv20 and a new lappy for the same price as that A1 :)

Yeah, the HV20 seems like the ticket - small and simpler to use... I don't think you'll use all the controlls on the A1 in a fast docu situation (as I imagine you'll be), so save the cash and go with the tool that's better suited.

And good luck - remember, regardless of politics, the vast majority of Americans support you guys, wherever they may stand politically about the big picture.
