"One Million Dollars..."

I am pretty excited.

For over a year now I have been thrashed about by a couple audio people that have been holding my ADR ransom as it were, for my film "Absolution".

I eventually said screw em, and moved on with things, got the film scored, and picked up a new audio person, re-recorded the ADR (painful, painful process, 3rd times the charm right?).

I am now getting the film mixed in a swanky million dollar mix theatre, and having someone finish the audio design on the film.

All for the low low price of zero dollars.

sometimes things just work out better than expected.

just had to vent my stress free ramblings.

Congrats Loki. Sound can be a real pain in the ass.

The first time I did a mix was out at Pinewood, which I think was William F. White. It was so long ago I can't remember, but the experience has stuck with me forever.

Ever since i've tried to at least be involved in some sweetening work in a studio because it pumps you up and a good technician is going to be able to bring out so much more than sitting on a desktop at home.

I had a chance to sit in one of the mix theaters on the Fox lot in LA...probably five hundred seats in front of the mile long mixing console. It wasn't running at the time, but it brought tears to my eyes. :)

thanks for bringing this back to me and congratulations once again!!

Oh, yeah zero dollars is one hell of a deal.
