EDIT----------------- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fjHehhn1zI -------------------- LINK TO TRAILER

Day 7 of 9 is complete and I thought I'd share some screengrabs with you.
Locations we've shot in...
1. A Bar
2. An abandoned Dam
3. Alley
4. Abandoned building
5. Customs Office
6. LAX
7. Neighborhood
8. Inside a car
9. Made up set in an apartment
10.... NEED A JAIL CELL FOR OUR LAST MAJOR SHOT..... ANY HELP IN LA?

The film is about a soccer hooligan that gets denied travel back to England to watch the world cup so he pulls a taxi driver and goes a little bannanas picking fights and looking for the pain.

I took on this project because of the punch-line ending, which obviously I can't share but I'll put a trailer up soon. Enjoy.

Shot with HVX200a/SGBlade/Dolly/Handheld/Fluidhead Tripod in and around Los Angeles during the last three weeks. We used sugar glass for a bar fight, lit a molotov cocktail in hollywood and got some stealth shots in and around the Customs and Boarder patrol building at LAX.

Short or Feature?

Sorry forgot to clarify. It should be about a 12-15min short. I'm working on a feature length but we put it on hold to bust this out and test some new equipment.
The lead actor supplied some really nice sound gear but nobody knew how to use it so we thought we'd better test it out before making a full length.

Also, Thanks Richard.

One day left of shooting. We're stuck trying to find an affordable prison cell. I've had a few good tips from users and we're checking into them but locations are just soooo expensive. We got quoted $7500 for a day and $1700 for a day and $800 for half a day so far.

Maybe a bit misconcepted but so far our budget has been less than $1,000 so I'd like to find a prison cell for about $300. Anything more just seems.... Idk it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So here are some cc'ed screengrabs. I'm in one of them. There were only three of us on set that day and we were all acting. There wasn't anyone to pull focus or hold the boom but surprisingly the shots turned out great (well very usable more like it)

Our lead, who is also the director/writer, keeps changing scenes and so we've shot two over again which drastically change the story. It's been a challenge but I think things have turned out for the better. It's very hard to work on a project when you're not clear on how things are going to turn out. I'm sure thats how a lot of full length movies end up but almost all of my films in the past have had a VERY clear story, look and flow. This has been changed almost daily soooo I'm nervous but still psyched.

I watched a rough edit last night and we all put in a lot of notes and changes that I think will put us back on track. Preview soon to follow.

Thanks a lot guys. The film just got finished tonight and we watched a pretty solid cut. Day after tomorrow it gets some sound design and then off to the composer.

I have to say I'm really really happy with the end result. I was a bit hesitant after watching the first edit but after three days of notes it's looking amazing. It's pretty brutal. A lot more hard core than the original script and def. R rated but even those surprises make the film really entertaining and non-stop action.

We set out to make a watchable film with a hell of a punch line and ended up with a whole case of dynomite and a lit fuse.

The first trailer is online but I thought it was rubbish so I'll wait until I can cut a better one before I post the link.

Thanks again for the encouraging comments they really make the updates worth while.

I've got a couple cool behind the scenes photos to show off. What's really cool is we have the tv glow without having the tv on. And our picture of a double dolly.

Hey Tom. We had the film scored and it's complete. Submitted and accepted to the Action on Film Fest in Pasedena CA. There is a trailer up on Facebook. I'll see if the director will youtube so I can add a link here.

Thanks for your interest. We teamed up again shortly after completion of One Man's Goal and busted out a feature film. Fathoms Deep. You can check my post for that also in the Users films.

I'll get back in a couple days with a post for the trailer. Cheers.

Oh also, the director had me change the Poster tag from "A Real Proper Hooligan" to "Piss Off"

hahaha.

Hah! Good poster tag. Trailer looks cool and congrats on the film festival acceptance.

It looks like you used the Rotorazor 2, am I right?

Yeah Good Eye! Can you notice a big difference between them? I always wanted to try the rr1 but wasn't sure if there was a noticeable difference. I guess so.

I had a few problems on my latest film with the gg showing up in frame. Really learned (hopefully) my lessons on lens stopdown and shutter speed and how it affects the noticability of the gg.
